Laura Laser, Kellsy MacKilliganand Cyndi Vellmure were brought together through the Muse Project, a cabaret variety show based in Los Angeles. Self produced, choreographed, and directed, the Muse Project held residency at El Cid, King King, the Bordello, and Safari Sam’s for 6 years.

Larkeld’s Whiskey Carousel is a new project inspired by their experience creating and performing together. 

Laura Laser, originally from Oklahoma City, studied dance as a child at Ballet Oklahoma and Range of Motion Dance Studio. She went on to attend the University of Central Oklahoma where she majored in Musical Theater and Dance and was a member of Kaleidoscope Dance Co. The musical theater credits she is most proud of are; Electra in Gypsy, Vibrata in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, and a featured dancer in Will Rogers Follies and Crazy For You. After relocating to Los Angeles, Laura was rehearsal director and principle dancer for Winifred R. Harris' Between Lines Dance Co. (a contemporary modern dance co.) for 6 years, touring the U.S. and Europe. Laura has choreographed and starred in short and full-length independent films and commercials including Bird Poops in Mouth by Bob Odinkirk, and A Mouth Garden in Progress by Derek Doublin. Laura is a founding member, choreographer, and performer of the Muse Project. She has danced and presented choreography in such dance festivals as Dance Spot, Los Angeles Jazz Dance Festival, and the Mix Match Dance Festival, to name a few. 

Kellsy MacKilligan, originally from Maine, has been dancing since the age of 5. She first studied ballet at the Konservatoriat Dance Academy and then later discovered Middle Eastern dance. She received her BA in theater from the University of Southern Maine, where her favorite role was Susy in Wait until Dark. Kellsy directed various full length plays including Picaso at the Lapin Agile and at the end of her college career, choreographed and performed for Naya’s Trance belly dance troupe. Upon arrival in Los Angeles she performed at the Ford Amphitheater with the troupe Dangerous Curves. In 2004, Kellsy joined the Muse Project as a dancer, choreographer, and costume designer. She has also accrued several credits in independent films, commercials, and print ads along side such names as Stacy Keach and Michael Paré. She currently is studying American Tribal Style Belly Dance. 

Cyndi Vellmure, originally from Camarillo, California, has always had a passion for the arts. At the age of 6 she started writing poetry and song lyrics. Later she performed with the Camarillo Performing Arts Center, where she starred in such productions as the Pirates of Penzance as Mabel. Cyndi was heavily involved in High School Drama, and a soloist in the choir. At the age of 16, Cyndi taught herself guitar and piano and began composing her own music. After high school, she moved to San Diego where she performed at various open mics and coffee shops. It was in San Diego that she discovered her love of dance. Her move to Los Angeles was prompted by an offer for representation by Kannike Entertainment, with whom she performed at ASCAP showcases, and on MTV’s The Cut. Later represented by David Christensen, she recorded her first EP, "Songs for a Rainy Day" produced by Dave Darling. With the help of engineer Tom Weir, drummer Josh Freese of A Perfect Circle and The Vandals provided percussion. Cyndi has performed at such clubs as The Whiskey, Genghis Cohen, Molly Malone’s, and the Cat Club. She is a founding member, performer, and choreographer of the Muse Project. As well as being a dynamic performer, Cyndi is a highly sought after make-up artist
